three solid ways to prepare for an excellent
It's easy to feel overcome when a new year starts. But that's because we're not creating the adequate space and time it takes to grow. Start from the inside out by practicing these critical ways to prepare for 2020.
New year, new me? Not always. No matter how often we choose to do it - year after year - and then forget it again two weeks later, we will still come back to our resolutions every December.
We vision of the person we want to be, how we change our lives and become leaner, stronger, healthier, happier, and much more. It gives us a touch of good feeling before we even do anything to achieve our goal. And if you (presumably) fail to achieve your goals, you lose all hope. Let's do it a little differently with these three practical ways to prepare for a fantastic 2020:
Reflect, but don't linger
We all dump straight into the New Year then often don't look back on the last 365 days. Many changes in a year: successes have been achieved, mistakes made, relationships come and go. But above all, lessons were learned. Captivating the time to be truthful with yourself, thinking about important events in 2019 can help you identify your flaws and strengths to take the best action in 2020.
What was your most precious moment in 2019? Who helped you grow? Who was holding you back? What is the chief motorist of your success? What caused your failures?
Dream big, but start small
When we choose to change for the better, we feel small glimmers of hope in our hearts. This means that it is easy to have multiple tasks to deal with. If every worthwhile motivational speaker tells you to dream big, why start small? Losing two pounds is better than drinking two extra glasses of water every day? Here is the problem. Great resolutions are not liable.
One of the best conducts to prepare for a great 2020 is to change the small, everyday decisions that lead to motivating results. Another gym sit-up, another veggie on your plate, another class a week, an extra book a month ... Once you've made all of this a habit, you're ready for the next step. You also have the energy and the mental will actually to move on.
Practice positive intentions
We cannot all be "shiny, happy people" and always
be happy. And that's fine. Practicing positive intentions daily can help change
your perspective, develop new habits, and make achieving goals more manageable.
It is not always enough to just go to the gym to see progress.
Practicing intent will help you make decisions based on what you want or need. You will exercise with a clearer sense of purpose, or work towards a goal, with a firm idea of what that goal looks like. This means that when this goal is achieved, you will feel realized. Close your eyes and imagine what the first three or four months will bring you - whether you want to track a lengthy or learn the basics of a new language.
Think about what it can mean for you. Personal independence? Better health? A happier life? The visualization of your intentions strengthens your mindset - which is often why we don't live out our year the way we would like it to.
